OUR PEOPLE

Sharon Ruwart

Principal

Sharon brings experience, creativity and a sense of humor to the work of helping clients break down big questions (How can I be a better leader? How can I have stronger presence? What should my next career/life goal be?) into concrete, actionable steps that can be measured and celebrated as milestones along the way to a long-term growth.

Sharon entered coaching after a 20+ year career as a senior executive in the U.S. and abroad. She previously held positions at Mars, Inc., Reed-Elsevier, APCO Consulting, Knight-Ridder, and E-LOAN.com, has had extensive P&L management, and leadership experience on the ground, and worked at E-LOAN prior to and during its IPO.

In addition to working in Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C., Sharon spent a decade working and living in China and East Asia, in which capacity she led divisions and companies, managed cross-cultural teams, and conducted sales and negotiations in Mandarin Chinese. Throughout her career, most of the roles she stepped into were newly created, giving her a deep understanding of what it is like to face steep learning curves and manage fast-paced change while keeping teams productive and inspired.

Now based in New York City, Sharon coaches clients across the world. She and her serial-entrepreneur spouse are currently restoring a rural retreat in upstate New York.
