Time alone in nature, the human capacity to grow and heal, and moments of genuine connection
Hyeon-Ju supports leaders to navigate the challenges and opportunities of leadership in a way that is authentic to them and grows from their unique voice and vision. She creates space in which leaders can be honest and unedited, think and imagine freely, and be themselves – all necessary conditions for learning, growing, and creating their best work. Hyeon-Ju meets clients where they are and at the same time holds them to their highest vision for their growth. She works with individual executives as well as with teams.
Hyeon-Ju has a deep commitment to the empowerment of women leaders and leaders of color. For over a decade prior to her coaching career, she was a civil rights attorney and director of advocacy organizations focusing on racial equity, economic justice, and the rights of underrepresented groups. She began her professional life as a trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
Hyeon-Ju holds coaching certifications from the International Coach Federation and The Coaches Training Institute. She has a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in English Literature from Swarthmore College.
