Deb Elbaum, MD, is an executive coach and facilitator who helps C-level, senior, and emerging leaders think and lead more clearly, calmly, and confidently. Her approach to coaching leverages concepts from the field of neuroscience layered with relevant leadership models. She infuses her work with measurable goal-setting and other practical concepts that clients can easily apply. Deb is known for her positive energy and ability to carefully listen, quickly reframe, and hone in on the heart of the matter.
Deb coaches in all industries, with a specialty in healthcare, academia, biotech, pharma, tech, and non-profit. Her focus areas include leadership development, building executive presence and confidence, navigating change, relationship building, and communicating effectively. Deb worked briefly as a physician and then founded her own healthcare writing company before becoming a coach. In addition to individual and group coaching, she delivers interactive keynote speeches and workshops on topics of personal and professional growth, including Resilience and Well-Being; Neuroscience for Effective Leadership; and Overcoming Impostor Syndrome. In addition, she is the host of the podcast In the Right Direction, which shares tools and strategies each month to help people lead and communicate effectively.
Deb holds a BA in Psychology from Harvard, an MD from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PCC coaching credential from the International Coach Federation.
